In my project "TEXTURE," I examine the negative sides of human consumption through a modern gothic lens. This personal work addresses the excesses of today’s society and their effects. Inspired by gothic style, I go beyond common images to show rebellion against norms and critique social structures. I combine composed photos and videos, mixing high fashion with signs of overconsumption to create a captivating yet uncomfortable story. The project pays tribute to gothic music and ties in contemporary high fashion's gothic elements. By embracing gothic imagery, I encourage reflection on our collective behaviors. The dark setting represents the fallout of unchecked consumerism, prompting viewers to rethink their roles. "TEXTURE" is both a visual experience and a critique of modern complexities, showing that the gothic aesthetic can effectively comment on our consumption-focused society.
"My website primarily showcases a collection of personal projects that I embarked on during a period of lockdown. It was during this time that I made the pivotal decision to pivot from a career in fashion design to embark on my journey as a fashion photographer and video maker. My creative process is deeply rooted in extensive cultural research, culminating in a meticulously visualized concept that places a strong emphasis on identity strategy, color dynamics, and dynamic movement. Drawing from my rich background as a graphic artist and fashion designer, I bring a unique perspective to the world of photographic and video production. I find myself connecting the creation of visually captivating and dynamic content to my concept of connection - especially when I see my ideas come to life in the exact way I envisioned."
As a Paris-based creative and photographer originally from Moscow, I bring a unique blend of cultural influences and artistic expertise to my work. With over seven years of study in fashion, graphic design, fine art, and photography, I specialize in crafting compelling visual narratives at the intersection of fashion, creativity, and image-making.
The 2020 lockdown marked a turning point in my career, sparking a passion for experimental photography and video.
This creative evolution earned recognition at prestigious festivals like the Berlin Commercial Film Festival and Milan Fashion Film Festival.Rooted in cultural research, my process emphasizes identity, color, and movement.
By blending fashion, graphic design, and visual storytelling, I create dynamic compositions that push boundaries while celebrating fluidity and expression.
